Nick Ferrero drove the brand new, freshly stolen Ferrari into the warehouse and then as Nick got out of the car, a police helicopter was heard and then a spotlight shone through the port windows and skylights as the rolling door was forced open and a swarm of cops, detectives quickly forcing their way into the warehouse full of freshly stolen high-end cars that a few were also full of kilos of cocaine as well, just waiting for shipment. As everyone inside the warehouse scattered and escaped capture, cops began to pursue the fleeing suspected car thieves.

Sonny Ferrero, under cover as his alias Nick Ferrero, had  “dropped a dime” on the operation to his team who called backup and rolled to the scene and thus busting a large car-theft ring. The leader of the operation was caught and brought in for interrogation.

As Sonny Ferrero’s team and cops flood the scene, Sonny Ferrero puts his hands up then he turns around and faces the lights.

Sonny Ferrero: I was wondering when you all were gonna show up! I caught bubba here….trying to make his….(opens Ferrari driver's side door) make his…..grand exit. See if I can get this car before it goes to impound too….will ya? (Tapping the roof of the car) it has been a looooong…..time….baby!  

Sonny Ferrero drives his yellow Cadillac convertible home to his small, white house with dark blue trim where he pulls into the driveway along the side and then Sonny gets out, walks over to the two wooden garage doors, and he swings both of them open, then he walks back to the idling caddy, gets in and pulls it up into the garage. Sonny shuts the engine off, he gets out, then closes the door and then he swings both garage doors closed and locks them both seemingly for the night. Then Sonny walks up to the steps at the back porch door, twirling the key-ring around his index fingers as he opens the porch door and enters the house. The porch door creeks as it swings closed and Sonny closes the rear, vintage door. Sonny goes into his house, goes straight to his living room, that has a floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelf full of books, and the bookshelf is right next to a side window that over-looks the driveway. Sonny takes his gun out of his shoulder holster and puts it in a gun safe, then goes to the bar that has a little refrigerator built into it, opens it, then takes out a bowl of sliced limes, then he takes out a bottle of his favorite liquor and Poor’s himself a shot in a crystal cup, then adds a lime, then, goes to stand by the side window to gaze at the view. After a few minutes, he sits down in his recliner as Adam Lewis walks up to the front door and knocks. As Adam waits for Sonny to answer, Adam looks around and notes a vehicle driving slowly down the street as it passes the house. Sonny comes to the front door and opens it. Sonny sees Adam standing there.

Sonny Ferrero: Hi there neighbor…..what can I do ya for?

Adam Lewis: Got a thousand dollars? Hehehehehehehehehehe!!! Nah…just kidding…..I came over to check out your music collection. May I look through your music?

Sonny Ferrero: Surrrre…….come on in…..Can I get you something to drink?

Sonny opens the white vintage looking screen door and let’s Adam in. Adam walks back to Sonny's living room and then turns to the bookshelf under the mantle  and then squats. Adam looks quickly and finds a record cover with Miami Vice written across the top and had a picture of someone who looked a LOT like Sonny with another guy.

Adam: Is this…..YOU Sonny?

Sonny comes over to see what Adam is looking at, then goes over to refill his drink then goes and sits down in his recliner near the window.

Sonny Ferrero:  That? Yea, that was ages ago. I want to forget about it.

Adam: Why? Looks like a really cool collection of songs.

Sonny Ferrero: Take it, it's yours.

Adam: I…JUST wanna borrow it for a bit. Is this…..why you drink?

Sonny Ferrero: No, I drink because….(setting his cup down) I have three ex-wives, I lost one wife to a shooter as she performed on stage, I have mortgaged my house to the hilt, and all I have left, is that caddy in the garage bubba. I thought things were supposed to get easier in retirement! Adam? Come with me for a few minutes…..let me show you something……

Sonny gets up from his recliner and Adam follows Sonny outside through the back door and down the back porch steps and into the backyard. There are a lot of brown, unraked leaves on the green grass, two white bird baths and a white fountain with one of Michelangelo's baby angles with wings sitting between two vintage metal outdoor chairs that hasn’t been sat in for years, and a small gazebo near a hot tub that looked like it got a lot of use. Sonny led Adam out past the hot tub, under a couple of untrimmed trees to a spot where a gravestone was located. As Adam stood almost next to Sonny, Sonny pushed a hidden button on the gravestone that unlocked a secret door that led down to a hidden cellar. Sonny and Adam both went down into the cellar as Adam became a little paranoid and suspicious.

Sonny Ferrero: come on down….bubba, don't worry….I’m unarmed. Now, I haven't showed this…..to…ANYONE but you! I…am trusting you….with…… (Sonny goes over to six .50 caliper ammo boxes and takes them all down and sets them down on an old dusty, wooden table in a row.) ……THIS! Go ahead……open them….

Adam hesitantly walks over to the row of old ammo boxes, then he looks back at Sonny then back at the boxes.

Adam: What IS all this?

Sonny Ferrero: Well? Open them up….

Adam opens the first ammo box, and he sees stacks and stacks of cash. Adam quickly opens each ammo box and he sees the same thing in each box.

Sonny Ferrero: Those are just a few of the boxes I have…and each one I have, has the same amount in each one.

Adam rubs the palm of his right hand across his mouth and then strokes his chin in utter disbelief.

Adam: You……didn’t……….

Sonny: Don’t worry….it’s all legit. What you see here….is all cash from my inheritances from all three wives. The wife I lost on stage, left me two million dollars. My second wife and I bought this house, she left me and left me the house. I don't trust banks and with the way the economy is going, I think it's time I spent some of this….don’t you think? How would a Ferrari look in my driveway?

Adam: Like you own it…..Sonny.

Sonny's cell phone rings and he steps away and answers it. Sonny's former partner (Cheech Marin) calls and tells Sonny that they have another new case. Sonny hangs up then turns around.

Adam: Let me guess, your partner called?

Sonny: Yes….WE….have a case. It's your lucky day…..want a job?

Adam: Sure!

Sonny: Come with me…..bring some of that money too.

Both Adam and Sonny climb out of the hidden cellar and head to the garage. Adam opens the two doors, while Sonny goes to his caddy convertible, gets in, starts it, then back out then stops, so that Adam can close the doors. Then Adam walks over to the passenger side, opens the door and starts to get in the passenger side.

Sonny Ferrero: Get in the back.

Adam: o……k.

Adam gets in the backseat and he closes the door as Sonny backs out of the driveway and then drives to go pick up his retired cop partner who works with Sonny in their private investigation agency that worked with their former SIU unit.

Sonny and Adam pull up in front of Eddie Hernandez’s house and Eddie (Cheech Marin) walks down the front walkway to Sonny’s car and walks around the front and opens the passenger side door and gets in, then closes the door. Sonny then takes off and heads to the crime scene.

Sonny Ferrero: Hi bubba, how are things on the old home-front?

Eddie Hernandez: fine, fine…..I am just…….tired. you know? My wife snores like…..a Harley Davidson! I don’t get much rest with that going on!

Sonny Ferrero: hahahahahahahahahahaha! You know bubba, they have nose strips for that…..

Eddie Hernandez: I know, I know…. she won't use them! She CLAIMS…..that they bother her and she can't sleep well with them on.

Sonny Ferrero: Sounds like a personal problem. OH, Adam, This is Eddie, Eddie, THIS…is Adam.

Eddie: Oh, hey, Nice to meet you.

Adam: NO, The pleasure…is ALL mine!

Sonny, Eddie and Adam pull up to the crime scene and Sonny shuts his car off, and gets out, closing his door while Eddie and Adam climb out, Adam being the last one out of the backseat and Adam leaps over the side and lands on the pavement leaving the passenger side door open that Eddie left open. Adam walks up behind Sonny and Eddie who are talking to the on-scene coordinator.

Jack Guzman has been one of Sonny’s  long-time friends and he was the one who called Sonny and Eddie onto this case because of their experience, expertise and skills in the field.

Jack Guzman: Sonny, good…you’re here…..I called you in on this because I need you and Eddie to go in and be my buyers. See, I am running a sting op here and I couldn’t find anyone better than you two to be my buyers. You two……are going to go in there, trade cars, this 1970 GTO, with a trunk full of the cash, for a 1970 Chevelle with the drugs in it. You two make the exchange, then once you two are out of there, we will make the bust….o k? Everyone know where they have to be? Good……we go live in five…..

Sonny and Eddie get into the GTO and drive to the meet that was taking place inside a warehouse. As Sonny and Eddie pull into the dark warehouse, they turn their lights on and see the Chevelle sitting near an exit. Sonny drives and parks the GTO on the passenger side so that if the buy went wrong, he and Eddie could cut off any means of escape from fleeing suspects.

As Sonny and Eddie get out of the GTO, they are greeted by two Columbians with two goons that greet both Sonny and Eddie with a pat-down before one of the Columbians greets Sonny and Eddie.

Columbian 1: Are Jou Sonny Herrera and Eddie Vasquez?

Sonny: It JUST…so happens…that I am.

Columbian-1: Do Jou two have the money?

Sonny: Do you have what we want? You get the money…..after we verify the authenticity of the product.

Sonny looks over at Eddie and Eddie walks over to the rear of the Chevelle and opens the silver case which has several kilos of Columbian cocaine inside. Eddie, takes out his pocket knife, making everybody a little jumpy, then shoves his knife into the side of one of the bags, then pulls out a small sample of the cocaine, then Eddie opens the case containing the cocaine test kit that has some test tubes inside that have PH strips that turn blue if the cocaine is pure. Eddie puts the sample into the test tube, adds some fluid, then puts a cork on top, shakes it then watches as the strip turns blue. Eddie shows Sonny and Sonny nods in approval.

Sonny: (To the Columbians) I Think WE…..have a deal bubba!

Eddie? Get these two fine gentleman their money….

Suddenly, Sonny drops his sunglasses and as he goes to pick them up, he sees a bomb strapped to the fuel tank of the Chevelle!

Shocked, Sonny walks over to the trunk of the GTO and pretends to help Eddie with the two cases.

(Camera from 200 yards away or less shows a wide shot of the warehouse and suddenly an explosion rocks the warehouse and the two Columbians escape on foot from the back of the warehouse and both split up as one of them goes one way carrying one of the cases full of money and the other carrying the other case full of money. A few minutes later, both Sonny and Eddie come running out from behind the burning rubble that used to be a warehouse with black soot on their suit coats and pants. Sonny runs towards where he parked his car and finds that it's gone. The main suspect gets away, and steals Sonny's clean, restored, 1967 Cadillac convertible, using it as a getaway car.

Sonny: OH! That's JUST great man! That's JUST great! They STOLE……MY car! (Throwing his hands up and pacing a little in frustration)

Sonny and Eddie suddenly run over to Jack Guzman's SUV and the two get in and take off, attempting to catch up with the fleeing suspect in Sonny's car.

Sonny: He better NOT put so much as ONE….scratch in my paint! NOT so much as a DENT!

Eddie: (Spotting Sonny's Caddy and the suspect) Um…Sonny? Don't look now but…..isn't that….your…Caddy over there….burning?

Sonny: Damned it! Damned it! All that….money I spent….restoring it….GONE!

Sonny pulls up near what is left of his Caddy and kicks the air and paces back and forth then gets back into Jack’s SUV, and calls it in to Jack and the fire department.

(Scene fades back in from commercial break with both Sonny and Eddie examining the charred and wet remains of his caddy. Jack arrives on-scene in a patrol car and comes over to both Sonny and Eddie.)

Jack Guzman: What HAPPENED back there???? ….and DON’T give me that “I don’t know Jack”….crap! We lost two cars, the money, not to mention we don't have the suspects! We have……..one dead and what…USED to be a warehouse that is in pieces! NOT to…….mention……I almost lost…YOU two!

Sonny: I KNOW! I KNOW! It's bad! I lost my caddy!!!! Look! I know where they make the stuff! Maybe we can find our suspects and close this….WHOLE deal in one….neat little package! Oh….and Jack? I will need another car!

Jack Guzman: (rolling his eyes and hesitating) eh, alright! Alright! Go to the impound lot and pick a car! (Raising his voice so to be heard as both Sonny and Eddie walk towards Jack’s car so that Jack can take them both to the impound lot.) Consider this……the city's way of paying you back. We are even.

Sonny: Far….from it but …..it's a start.(Sonny gets into the front passenger seat while Eddie gets into the back. Jack gets into the driver’s seat and starts the car. Then he drives off to the impound lot.)

Jack drops off both Sonny and Eddie at the impound lot and Sonny and Eddie get out of Jack's unmarked car, They close the doors and as Sonny closes his, he taps the door, he says to Jack:

Sonny: Thanks for the ride Jack, we appreciate it. Time to….Jack us….a car!

Jack: Really….funny there…Sonny!

(Jack then backs away and then drives off as Sonny and Eddie walk to the guard-shack and tell the guard that they are looking for a car. Sonny shows the guard their badges and some paperwork and the guard let’s them both in. Both Sonny and Eddie become like two kids in a candy store as they look for cars. Eddie goes over to a Pontiac LeMans coupe that was yellow, with two black racing strips down the center.

Eddie: How about THIS one Sonny?? Looks like this one would be nice…..

Sonny: Sorry Eddie, You know me, I have to get a convertible bubba.

Eddie: But this one has black real leather seats and Air conditioning!

Sonny: Hey Eddie……come look at THIS little gem!

Eddie makes his way through the maze between cars and over to where Sonny is standing. Sonny lifts the car cover up just a little….just enough for both of them to look at each other and start grinning. After moving a whole bunch of cars and trucks from in front of the car they both like, and after nearly two and a half hours later, Sonny removes the car cover, rolls it up, tucks it into the way back part of the trunk and then both Sonny and Eddie get into a black 1973 Corvette Stingray convertible with a ram-air, twin turbo charged 350 V8. Sonny starts the engine, turns the headlights on and the headlights flip up, Sonny gives the engine a couple of revs and then as the guard opens the gate, he drives off onto the street and makes a left onto the four-laned and divided street.

Sonny starts driving to the police weapons depot to get well armed to get ready to go catch their suspect. Eddie wonders where Sonny is going.

Eddie: Um….Sonny? Where……..are we going?

Sonny: We…..are going to the weapons depot to get armed and ready to catch our suspects bubba. I still know my friend Tony who works there. He will give us whatever we need.

Eddie: That must be nice…..back in the early millennium when I started out as a Private Investigator, I didn't know anyone like…..that. (Eddie ad-libs something funny as a comment)

Sonny: (Ad-libbing a response and laughing at Eddie's comment) How……long have you known me now?????

Shortly, Sonny and Eddie arrive at the depot and Sonny Parks the sleek, black Corvette stingray convertible (with tan leather interior) and they both get out. Sonny pushes the alarm fob button and they both go into the depot building. Sonny and Eddie walk down the short hall to the window where Sonny's friend is working.

Tony Figueroa: Soooooonny!!!! Long time no see! What brings YOU down here?

Sonny: (Chuckling, laughing and smiling) Nice to see you….TOO there….Tony….My partner and I are here for some weapons. May we see what you got back there???? I…..will get you some tickets to a baseball game…..

Tony Figueroa: (Tom Arnold ) Sonny! Sonny! Sonny! The LAST tickets you got me to that so-called “concert” were waaaaaaay in the back!!!! I could barely make out what the singer was saying!!!

Sonny: OH! THOSE……..tickets! (Laughing a little) I must have…….got them switched around. I promise, these tickets will be a LOT better!

Sonny: Let's see what you have back there….shall we?

Tony Figueroa: Eh….ok…..just don't forget about those tickets now…ok?

As Tony opens the locked door, and both Sonny and Eddie walk through, Tony shuts the locking door and then walks ahead of Sonny and Eddie to show them what is available and where everything is.

Tony Figueroa: You know….I’m NOT supposed to let you all back here! I could get in a lot of trouble! They are watching me ya know….

Sonny: Don’t worry pal….I will take care of that for ya.

Tony Figueroa: ok, over….here…… is where we keep all of the AR-15 assault rifles, over…..HERE….is where we keep all of the grenade launchers…..and over………..here….i s where all of our handguns are. I JUST got a fresh shipment of .380 semi autos and .45 Cal’s in! I JUST…….I inventoried half the .45’s and half the .380’s! These…….are all the ones I haven't inventoried yet……catch my…..drift?

Sonny: Read you…….loud……and clear….bubba! Eddie, get two of those .380s and two .45s, and I'll get one of these……nifty…..grenade launchers! I have a…….sneaky suspicion that we might need this!

Eddie: You……..are beginning……to scare me……Sonny!

Sonny: Eddie, this…..isn't my……first rodeo ya know? Hehehehehehehehehehe! Don't ya worry partner, everything will be ok! Trust me! You……DO…….trust……me don't ya?

Eddie: Yea…….I trust you, with my life!

Sonny: Good! I was beginning to think we had a problem here.

Eddie: How long have we known each other now?

Sonny: A……….LOOOOOONG time bubba, a……looong time!

As Sonny and Eddie drive along the freeway and across the bridge, camera pans out to medium wide-angle and themed music plays until scene fades to black.

Sonny pulls up to a corner of a residential street near a stop sign and Sonny shuts the engine off to the black 1973 Corvette stingray. Sonny takes out his binoculars and begins to scan the street and a specific house for signs that their suspect is there. Eddie, takes his surveillance kit out, opens it up and pulls out a high-tech listening device. An ultrasonic mic that can use the vibrations of windows to hear voices. Sonny turns and looks at Eddie and then taps the very sensitive mic. Eddie removes the headphones quickly.

Eddie: What? What? Don't do that man! This….is……some very, very, highly sensitive and very expensive equipment!

Sonny: Have……YOU been holding out on me bubba?

Eddie: Nah man, I just bought this off a friend of mine. He sold it to me for a good price too I might add. This mic, can hear a whisper inside any of those houses, from over 300 yards away, using the sound vibrations of the windows when sound bounces off of them.

Sonny: (lol) Does that thing make toast too?

Eddie: VERY….funny…..Sonny! Ha….ha! Hold…..on, I think I am picking up some conversation.

Eddie puts his headphones back on and starts recording what he hears. After a few minutes, Eddie hands the headphones over to Sonny who puts them on and listens.

Suspect's voice heard through the headphones as if he was standing inside the room is heard.

Suspect: Hey, it's me. I want to place an order for tonight. Fine, fine, but I want five instead of my usual. Yea….I got the money. No! Not to worry….I killed those two cops that were following me back at that warehouse. Yea I'm sure their dead! They blew up with the cars! Nobody could have survived that! No….body! OK…..Doc 10 pier 2 See you tonight.

Sonny removes the headphones and looks at Eddie.

Sonny: The Russians think we're dead! That can ONLY work in our favor! It's on for tonight. They are planning a meet at Doc 10 pier 2 tonight. That…..is where we will catch them with the element of surprise! First, I have to go get a warrant, and then we arrange for swat to back us up and get into position, then, you and I…..can go arrest the suspects as they make the buy. With a little luck…..maybe we can find out who the Russians are meeting and maybe….we can…..do a little…….. switch-a-roo.

Suddenly, Sonny puts his binoculars to his eyes and sees Puentez and Vasquez walking across the street heading for the front door of the Russian's house.

Sonny: Well! What…..do…..ya know! It's Puentez and Vasquez!

Eddie: The SAME Puentez and Vasquez from…..the….undercover case?

Sonny: The VERY same bubba! If they see us, this….could go….VERY, very wrong! Time to leave!

Sonny starts the engine of the sleek, black 1973 Corvette stingray and drives away as quickly and quietly as possible before Puentez and Vasquez notices and recognizes Sonny.

As Sonny and Eddie start the long, 45 minute drive back to their Private Investigation office, Eddie begins to catch up with Sonny in conversation.

Eddie: So…..How does it feel to be back in the leather saddle again?

Sonny: Like…..I….Never…..left! The more things change, the more things stay the same!

Eddie: I hear ya brother, I hear ya.

(A remake/Remix of “In The Air Tonight” begins to play as the evening falls into darkness and the famous scene from Miami Vice is remade and recreated but with Cheech Marin sitting “shotgun” ironically with a shotgun in his lap instead of Philip Michael Thomas.)

(Next scene) scene fades in from black as Sonny and Eddie slow down and then turn into the parking lot of their Investigation office. Sonny shuts the engine off, and then both Sonny and Eddie get out and start to go up the backstairs that lead to the backdoor of the building that houses their offices. Something seems a bit…..off to Sonny as he starts to ascend the stairs. Sonny quickly and quietly draws his weapon and motions to Eddie down below him, to “hush” and be as quiet as possible. Sonny quickly and quietly whips the door open as he points his drawn handgun around in case a suspect was standing guard. Seeing no one, Sonny stays put while his partner, also with HIS weapon drawn, advances in a squatting stance over closer to their office door. Eddie motions to Sonny that the door is ajar a little. Sonny quickly and quietly sneaks up to the threshold and then swings in, pushes the door open all the way, at the same time while pointing his drawn handgun behind the door, and all around his back office. Seeing no one, he motions for Eddie that “it’s all clear”

Just as Eddie comes into the room and holsters his weapon and Sonny starts to holster his, Tony Figueroa walks back into the room as Sonny quickly spins around with his weapon drawn and pointing at Tony.

Tony Figueroa: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Guys! It's JUST…me!

Sonny: (breathing a sigh of relief and holstering his weapon) Don't you know ….. it's dangerous to your health to walk into a place like that??? You ALMOST got shot….man!

Eddie: Hey Tony, sorry about that…what can we do for you?

Tony Figueroa: I heard some chatter on “the grapevine” that a couple of Russians are putting a hit out on you two just to make sure that you two are dead as they THINK you are.

Sonny: This “Grapevine” wouldn't be the….uh….same grapevine that you heard about that big car shipment going out on pier 20 during my undercover case…..would it?

Tony Figueroa: The VERY same actually. How did you know?

Sonny: I kind of……have an….EYE for these kind of things.

Tony Figueroa: That wouldn't be a……PRIVATE “Eye” would it? Because…..that…..would be kind of funny actually.

Eddie: What do ya want Tony? We are a little…..busy here….

Tony Figueroa: I came down here to also warn you two that two crooked cops, Puentez and Vasquez are looking for you!

Sonny: We already know that…..wait….THEY…..are the ones that are supposed to make the hit on us? Well! That's…..just…..great! How did they both know we were there?

Tony Figueroa: Oh…..Yea….Your friend……Jack? He had a GPS tracker wired into the wiring harness of that SWEET ride of yours, because he wanted to know where you two where at all times. But, if HE knows, so do Puentez and Vasquez!

Sonny: So THAT'S how they knew where to find us!

Eddie: Yea…..and I bet they told the Russians where to find us too I bet!

Sonny: So…..this……WHOLE thing…..could be a trap! We need to….. RETHINK this!!

Eddie: We COULD use my friend's office for a while until this thing blows over…..

Sonny: That's not a bad idea there…..Eddie. Call up your friend, tell him what we wanna do. Why don't you use Tony's phone….y you won't mind…..will ya there……Tony?

Tony Figueroa: No, I don't mind, here…. (Tony reaches into his pocket and takes his Galaxy S7 out and hands it to Eddie. Eddie then goes outside to the back where no one can see or hear him and calls his friend to let him know what is going on.)

Sonny: Well THANKS for bringing that to our attention. Since you are SUCH a good friend, may…..be…..you could also…..trade cars with us for a while….what do you think?

Tony Figueroa: Oh……I don’t know guys…..I wouldn't want to be responsible if anything were to happen to that sweet ride of yours.

Sonny: You can take my car as long as you bring it back in one piece. While you’re at it, see if you can get that…..tracking thing out of there…would ya?

Tony Figueroa: You both know that I drive…a fully restored 1971 Cuda convertible…RIGHT? I expect not so much as a SCRATCH on this baby! Got it?

Sonny: Yea…got it…this isn’t my…first…rodeo ya know…..

Just then, Eddie walks in on the last part of the conversation.

Eddie: Yea….be careful with it! It has a nice….real……leather interior! Don't mess it up man! It costs more than your car does! That's hand-stitched leather too!

Tony Figueroa: OK! OK! You convinced me! Not because you two are such great friends, but because that car is a chick magnet! I can get me a lot of “Action” if ya know what I mean!

Sonny: (Responding to Tony) It wasn’t as though you weren’t getting enough “ACTION” in the hemi Cuda convertible! What with the…..black leather seats and the unmistakable sound of that well-tuned hemi engine….you should have had a LOT of “Action”.  Promise me you will go EASY with my car….Tony……

Eddie: Just…be cool with it….go cruising around a little, but remember, keep your eyes peeled for anyone following you or anything that looks out of the ordinary….

Tony Figueroa: Got it….Out of the ordinary….right! Do we just…switch keys now or…..what?

Sonny sends Eddie down to take out all of the weapons that they procured and have him and Tony load them into Tony's car's trunk. Once that is done, both Sonny and Eddie stand there and watch as Tony opens the driver’s door, gets in, sits down, and before Tony starts the car, Tony looks back at both Sonny and Eddie.

Tony Figueroa: Don't worry guys…no….seriously, your car is in good hands.

Sonny: Yea…..that's what I am afraid of!

Eddie: Go easy on those Leather seats!

Tony: (Starting the car) Got it.

Tony then backs the car up, shifts into gear, then waves as he drives off.

Eddie: Think that will fool them?

Sonny: I sure….hope long enough to make our plan work. I think we will also need a couple more cars….because I think….we will need a backup exit strategy….you know…..in case things get…..a…..little wonky…..

Eddie: Funny you should mention that….I was thinking the……SAME….thing! It's like….you’re reading…..my…mind or something! That's CRAZY….right?

Sonny: (To Eddie) That's what I like about you Eddie….we have chemistry.

Eddie: Yeaaa! Chemistry! I….like that! I don’t look to…..good for what we are about to do with what I’m wearing…do I?

Sonny: You DO look a little…HOT in that coat…maybe you should loose the coat….don’t worry Eddie….I think we will be changing into more suitable clothes before we do this…you’ll look FINE!

Sonny and Eddie get into Tony’s car and pull away onto the street heading to one of Sonny’s contacts where Sonny and Eddie can get a couple of freebie reliable cars that they can use just in case Tony’s car gets damaged or caught in the crossfire.

Sonny and Eddie pull into the old gas station that is now a mechanic’s shop. Sonny and Eddie get out of the Red 1971 Cuda convertible and walk into the garage as Sonny removes his sunglasses (In his trademarked move)

Sam Wilson:  (Bruce Campbell)  (Leaning up from under the hood of an old 1967 Cuda that he andand two of his employees are working on.) OH….Hey! Long-time no SEE partner!

Sonny: Hey Sam……it HAS…been a long time hasn’t it? What? Five years?

Sam Wilson: Yea…something like that…what can I do ya for? What happened to that sweet ride of yours, that…..Caddy? BOY! She was a BEAUT!

Sonny: (Looking at Eddie then back at Sam) It’s a long story. I have a proposal for ya…..

Sam Wilson: Wait…aren’t you going to get on bended knee to propose to me first?  HEHEHEHEHE!!!!

Sonny: VERY…FUNNY Sam…This…is SERIOUS!

Sam Wilson: HOW serious?

Sonny: UM…SERIOUS????  Serious enough to…….get me to come see…YOU!  I need  you to do some “work” for us……and…..I need some cars…..you got any of them?

Sam Wilson: (Scratching his head and looking at both Eddie and Sonny) Yeeeea…I could come up with a couple of cars…why? Something like…the GOOD OLE days?

Sonny: I came out of retirement because someone at my old department asked me and my old partner to help out on a case that is connected to an old case that I worked back in the old days. Remember that old drug case with the Columbians?

Sam Wilson: (Scratching his head again and looking at Sonny with a vague look on his face)

Yeeea…Sort of……you mean…THOSE…Columbians????

Sonny: Yea…THOSE Columbians!!! The VERY same ones that now want me DEAD because they know I am coming for them! I was hoping that you had some….say…”EXTRA” vehicles…….that we could maybe….procure…off the books….

Sam Wilson: that was Harry business! You, Eddie and I barely made it out of there alive!  Hmmmmmm! I don’t know….I’ll have to…check. What did you say you needed them for?

Sonny: Um…we didn’t.  We might need them for an….exit strategy and a few for say….a diversion of sorts?

Sam Wilson: AH! So YOU need cars that either of us won’t mind if they get…a little blown up or banged up then?

Sonny: NOW you’re cooking with olive oil!

Sam Wilson: I…see…well, I might HAVE a few of such cars…..let me take you and your partner around back and see what you might find. Come with me gentleman.

Sam Wilson walks Sonny and Eddie back behind his garage and then as Sam unlocks and opens a tall razor wire fenced gate, Sonny and Eddie look at each other and both shrug their shoulders knowing what fates these old beaters will have befall them. They both are thinking the same thing…”I’m game if you are” as Sonny enters the yard first.

As Sonny and Eddie enter the yard, a slew of different types of older vehicles show up in the  yard like a small sea of vehicles.

Sonny: Do…any…..of…these…vehicles…RUN???

Sam Wilson: No, not right NOW, but…give me  about a week and I will have the ones you want, running and ready to go.

Eddie: We might also need a couple of cars that look the same so we can pull off one of those switch-a-roos like they did in that movie fast and curious or……

Sonny: That’s Fast and Furious…GEES Eddie…haven’t you been watching any recent movies lately??? Keep up with the times bubba…..

Eddie: Sorry man, there are so many and I have so little time…..retirement was supposed to be relaxing…..ya know? How about those old Valiants? There are two of those…..we could get them to look the same and pull off the switch-a-roo with them.

Sonny: I was thinking more those two Alpha Romeo convertibles over there…..how about you Eddie?

Eddie: It’s like….you’re obsessed with convertibles man!

Sam Wilson: (chuckling a little) He HAS a point there Sonny….

Sonny: Everyone knows I drive convertibles because I love the wind in my hair and they are fashionable. Convertibles NEVER go out of style! The Columbians will be expecting me to show up in a convertible. I plan to catch them off guard…to DO that, I have to make them think that they are right! RIGHT when they think they have blown up the car I am driving, I show up in a car that looks EXACTLY LIKE the one they blew up, or at least they THINK is me…..and when they go after it, I will be RIGHT behind them…NOW…you see why I need doubles of each car?

Sam Wilson: Ya know brother, I never knew you had SUCH flair for the dramatic!

Sonny: Why THANK you brother, that means a LOT coming from you.

Sam Wilson: So, when were you thinking about doing this….a week or two?

Sonny: No man, I was thinking like a couple of days.

Sam Wilson: AH Come ON! I need time to work on the cars, time to prep, paint and detail the cars….not to MENTION that I’d have to hire some more mechanics and paint people to get this done!!!

Sonny: Don’t fret my good man (Tapping Sam on his shoulder) I will make it WELL worth your while…So, can you have every one of the cars ready to go  in two days?

Sam Wilson: I…don’t know, but…I can certainly give it my best shot….now you know I am an ex navy seal….and I can rig some of the cars to go BOOM when you need them to…..just tell me where you want those cars and I will get them ready. What you are planning…..do you plan to get out of there alive?

Sonny: I SURE hope so…I don’t want another repeat of Columbia from the old days!

Sam Wilson: I hear ya brother, I hear ya LOUD and clear! I will get RIGHT on this!

Sam, Sonny and Eddie walk out of the yard as Sam closes and relocks the razor wire chain-link gate and Sonny goes into Sam’s office and talks with Sam alone while Eddie goes back to Tony’s car, opens the passenger door, gets in then shuts the door then Eddie gets his smartphone out and starts texting his wife.

Sonny comes back out, opens the driver’s door and gets into Tony’s car and then puts his trademark sunglasses on, then starts the car.

Eddie: Where are we headed now?

Sonny: I have to make a stop off at my house to get some stuff for Sam.

Eddie: (Seeing the look on Sonny’s face that says “I wish I didn’t have to spend this much to do this!”)  that BAD huh?

Sonny:  You…don’t KNOW the half of it!

(Sonny and Eddie drive off and scene ends. Fade back in from black, Sonny and Eddie are just pulling into Sonny’s driveway. And pulling up to the garage and parking. Sonny shuts the engine off and gets out. Eddie opens his door and gets out and then both close their doors. Sonny walks into his backyard past the bushy shrubs and to the flip-up door to his exit to the storm shelter that is connected to his basement. Eddie follows Sonny down into the darkness before Sonny turns on a hanging light fixture that dangles from the cement roof. As Sonny goes down into the alternate basement entrance, he takes his sunglasses off.)

Eddie: I didn’t know this was HERE! When was THIS installed???

Sonny: OH, it came with the house! It was the selling point when my wife and I bought it many years ago.

Eddie: You don’t have any….BODIES or anything stored down here do ya???

Sonny: What do you take me for???

Eddie: I don’t know…just checking man…..

Sonny: Help me with these ammo containers…..will ya?

Eddie: What are ya doing? Saving up for world war three or something?

Sonny: NO man! Open one of them up! See for yourself…partner!

Just as Eddie opens one of the containers and sees the container filled with nothing but packets of cash and loose $100 bills, Adam walks over and says:

Adam: Knock, Knock…anyone home?

Sonny pulls his gun out and points it at the doorway while Eddie puts the ammo container down and pulls his gun and points it in the same direction.

Adam: WHOA! WHOA! Guys! I was JUST checking to see who was DOWN here! I saw the car in the driveway and I didn’t recognize it.

Sonny: WHEW! It’s just you…it’s ok…Adam…come on down…..I was just showing my partner the cash I have down here for…emergencies….and I think…this qualifies as an emergency…don’t you think?

Adam: Yeeea…I think so……So, do you need me for anything? Can I…help you on this case?

Sonny: Nah, I think we have it well in hand bubba, but now that you mention it, there MIGHT be a few ways you may be able to help actually…..

Eddie, you remember Adam, my watchful PI neighbor…..Adam, you remember my partner…Eddie…Right?

Eddie: Oh…yeaaa…Hey, how are you doing?

Adam: Nice to see ya again. By the way, why did you two leave me back there with the captain? He was sure nice enough to bring me home.

Sonny: Because, I didn’t want to endanger your life man…..besides, I was protecting you.

Eddie: ya know, if he protects you, he LIKES you…..

Adam: Hehehehehehe! That’s flattering and all, but….I want IN on this case! Things have dried up for a little while at my Private Detective office and I am looking for work. I KNOW you two could use an extra hand…..

Sonny: Know what? As a matter of fact, I DO have a few things you can do…here…you can help me carry a few of these to my car! (smiling and handing Adam a couple of Ammo boxes)

Adam: HA….FREAKIN HA! Sonny! VERY…FUNNY!

Sonny: I THOUGHT you’d like that……now bring those to the car and put them into the trunk for me…would ya?  That would be a BIG help!

Adam grabs the two ammo boxes and takes them to the car in Sonny’s driveway and waits until Sonny opens the trunk before putting them in.

Adam: SERIOUSLY though! Could you put me to work in your case? I won’t screw it up for ya! PROMISE!

Sonny: eh, We’ll see…I might have something you can do for us…but…it may be too dangerous…..so…we’ll see neighbor….OK? Eddie and I have to go…we’ll see ya later…ok?

Sonny closes the trunk and makes sure the alternate basement entrance door is locked tight before getting back into the car, Eddie gets in and closes the door after putting two containers into the trunk and then Sonny starts the car and backs out of the driveway and drives off., heading back to Sam’s garage.

As Sonny is driving, Eddie pulls his smartphone out and starts to text his wife who is constantly texting him.

Eddie: You know, if I knew that women could be so worrisome, I may have waited to get married.

Sonny: OH she is just worried about you bubba. She is probably worried that you won’t make it home after this. Did you tell her what you are doing?

Eddie: Well…YEA…….

Sonny: FIRST mistake! NEVER tell your woman what you are doing unless she is in this field. Women that don’t work in this field, don’t understand. Take MY woman for instance…..she works as a detective in the same department I did and she knows not to text me while I am working. She knows that when I have a moment, I will call her and check in with her.

Eddie: How come YOU get all of the FINE women and I get the…worried women????

Sonny: I guess I’m just…LUCKY that way…..

Eddie: SO Sonny boy, when am I going to MEET this…woman of yours???

Sonny: Soon bubba…VERY soon! In FACT…sooner than you may THINK!

Scene cuts to Sonny and Eddie arriving and parking in front of Sam’s garage and getting out and then going into see Sam.

Sam Wilson: Back already I see…..

Sonny: OH, I thought you and I could have…a little…private…pow-wow in your office seeing as how busy you are my man…..

Sam Wilson: OH…THAT kind of Powwow…AH…I’ll be RIGHT there! These are my FAVORITE kind! (Turning to talk to his two other mechanics working on the cuda) Um, guys, keep working on the carburetor there while I talk with these two friends of mine…ok?

Sam Wilson, Sonny Ferrero and Eddie Vasquez  all walk into Sam’s office then they sit and talk for a bit, then all three of them go to the car and to the trunk and take out the ammo boxes which Sam takes to his office and then opens them, and starts putting the large amounts of money into his safe.

Once the money is in the floor safe, and secure, Sam shakes Sonny’s hand and then Eddie’s hand and solutes them. Sam knows that he has to rig four old junkers that barely run, to blow up when the time is right but NOT when some kid with a cell phone goes by or if there were cell jammers in use. Sam makes a bunch of phone calls as both Sonny and Eddie leave to get all of the help he can find to get everything that Sonny and Eddie need, done and in place. As Sam gets everything ready, all of the vehicles running , painted, and in place in the area they want the vehicles in, Sonny and Eddie as well as Adam, Sam  as well as Caitlin Hook are getting suited up and ready for the monumental and complicated  attack strategy.

Sonny and Eddie leave and then they go get armed and go brief the teams of police and other detectives that are going to be on the biggest Columbian bust in Sonny’s career. Sonny KNOWS this will be a career maker or career ender if the bust goes wrong! As usual, Sonny makes a couple of contingency plans as backup plans just…in case.

Sonny and Eddie go gather up the police troops and hold a briefing meeting in their briefing room at their own office.

Sonny stands up at the podium like the captain he used to be before he got promoted to inspector through the ranks before retiring.

Sonny: OK, as you know, I was asked to…um….assist in this old case that has somehow come back to haunt me…..SO, as you all are aware, My partner and I have most of a Columbian cartel after us! When we went to do that drug buy, we had NO idea that it was that cartel that was making a hit on us. Now….WE arrested their main leader some years ago and since, they have reorganized and they know…that WE still have their drugs! They WANT those drugs! They KNOW that they have to get through US…to get to them…..SO, they are trying to take us…meaning Eddie Vasquez and I, out of commission! Eddie and I…are working up a very detailed and organized plan of attack that will yield us a LOT of drugs, should even shut down a large portion of the cartel’s network that is operating here in New York City. They have operations in Miami, Los Angeles,  San Francisco, and on up the west coast. OUR game plan is to make it near impossible to move around without getting arrested! Restricting their movements will make them come out fighting and THAT my friends…is what WE want! Get everyone out of that area as FAST as possible! We already have an undercover operation in that area taking families and kids out of there until we can get these cartel members out of their neighborhood! Eddie and I are going to enter HERE…. (Points to the drawing on the map) and we have strategically placed old cars blocking certain streets that are rigged to explode if the cartel members try to get through there! Our plan is to bust their doors down and get these members out. There MIGHT be some booby traps along the way…so…..all we ask is that you stay safe, and don’t get dead…OK?  We go live in five.

Sonny Ferrero and Eddie begin to get ready when Sonny gets a phone call on his cell. It’s one of his informants.

Sonny: (Answering phone)  Ferrero….

Informant Arney Gotz: Hey…Sonny…my man, I am calling you because one of the Columbian top dealers just got a large shipment and they are meeting at Red Hook Container Terminal! They have a couple of containers they plan to unload by tonight!

Sonny: that’s GOOD work! I will assemble a team and get down there tonight! I am a little….busy at the moment though…..

Arney Gotz:  Better get down here QUICK! They have nearly an ARMY of guys with big guns! I think they also got a shipment of guns too!

Sonny: YOU…aren’t…actually THERE…at the shipping port…now are ya???

Arney Gotz:  UM…YEA!

Sonny: You better get OUT of there as quickly as POSSIBLE! IF…..they catch you there, you are as good as dead! WORSE! Deader than dead! I’m coming! Meet me at our usual spot!

(Hanging up the phone) Um, Change of plans folks, Follow my lead! We are going to Red Hook!

The Police Swat team and the team of Leos that have gathered are now preparing to go to Red Hook Shipping Container yard to intercept shipments of guns and drugs ordered by the Columbians that they are going to bust the same night! Busting the shipments will inform the Columbians that the cops are coming for them so Sonny, Eddie, and the large amounts of Swat teams and Leos are now dividing and conquering. Sonny and his team are heading out to the shipping yard, while the other teams are staking out the Colombian’s Cartel leader’s house. The teams on stakeout are instructed to text Sonny with any of the leader’s movements until he and Eddie get there.

Meanwhile….

Tony Figueroa is down at a local sleazy hotel with a harem of women all fussing over and giggling over him inside the hotel room while they all drink, and eat wearing nothing but their slim swimsuits.  The swimming pool is crowded with swimsuit models and sexy, swimsuit-clad women.

Sonny calls Tony to check up on his car.

Sonny: (Taking cellphone out and dialing Tony Figueroa. Phone on Sonny’s end rings) I hope my car is still ok….Knowing Tony, he probably left a bunch of condoms on the floorboards! 

Tony Figueroa: (On the other end of the line) Hello?

Sonny:  Hey there Tony….how goes it? Any tails???

Tony Figueroa: Hey there SONNY! You should come and join the party man! You should SEE these babes!

Sonny: Ah thanks but I’ll have to take a rain check. I have ENOUGH ex-wives, I don’t need any more.

Tony Figueroa: You don’t know what you’re missing man…..(Slaps a babe in the butt) OOOH! BABY! SHAKE it baby! Well, don’t worry man…your car is fine….I saw a couple of sedans following me but it’s all good,  I led them all here to my hotel…..they are parked out front…want me to put a banana in their tailpipe or something?

Sonny: (Laughing out loud) NOOOOO, lol, after this, I will come by and check in with you. Bye…now…..(Hangs phone up still laughing) MAN! Eddie….I don’t know about Tony.

Eddie: Yea…..Tony sure knows how to party man……

Eddie and  Sonny walk back to where the swat teams and Leos are gathered and start giving hand signals to them to start advancing on the shipping containers that are allegedly full of drugs and guns. Sonny and Eddie creep quietly to an advantage point with a view to the open space in front of the targeted containers. Sonny and Eddie verify that there are in fact lots of men with automatic machine guns standing around with three people in suits taking guns, ammo and some cases out of the shipping containers. Sonny and Eddie have the element of surprise on their side. Sonny uses his bluetooth  in his ear to call out a whispered countdown and on 0 Sonny, Eddie all members of the swat teams and Leos all converge onto the group!

Sonny: FREEZE!! Put your weapons down NOW!!!! Get ON the GROUND!!!!

One of the men holding a machine gun, backs away and is looking behind him as he slowly backs away and Eddie comes up behind him and points his gun into his back!

Eddie: I wouldn’t DO that if…I was you! PUT your weapon down…slowly! That’s a good boy! NOW…lie on the ground and put your hands on your head!

The buyers and the seller have ran off in different directions headed to their vehicles. Both Eddie and Sonny contain the rest and then go after the three that got away.

Sonny: Come ON Eddie…Let’s go get those suckers!!!!

Eddie: (Speaking to the Leo that is finishing cuffing the last gunman) Got this??? I really gotta go now…..

Both Sonny and Eddie run to Tony’s car and get in….Sonny backs up fast and then races to catch up with the main seller that is the closest. He gets Eddie to use his cellphone to call into Dispatch to get them to put the Helicopter into the air so that they can track the seller by his GPS in his car.

Sonny: WHERE is he??? I need to know….

Sonny is now racing down van Brunt Street Headed towards union street.

Eddie: Make a right here!

Sonny dives to the right and then drives fast, with tires squealing and his rear end fishtailing a little as he turned.

Eddie: Make a left HERE on Columbia street! NOW! Make a LEFT!

Sonny Dives left and then speeds ahead and then sees the suspect’s car four blocks ahead.

Heading towards Rapelye St.

Sonny: THERE he is! THERE HE IS! I GOT you! Hold on to your hats ladies and Gentleman…THIS is going to be a ROUGH ride!!!

The suspects turn left onto Rapelye St and head towards Henry Street! Tires squealing and tire smoke billowing everywhere as both cars race around corners!

The suspects turn left again onto 3^rd Place and race down the streets dodging cars, people, children and objects in their path as they wiz by at nearly 65 MPH!

The closer that Sonny gets, the more evasively the suspect drives! Four other police cars have now joined the chase….As more and more cars attempt to block the streets ahead, the suspects are able to subvert their attempts.

As the suspects drive down 3^rd place nearing Court Street,  there is a bus that is stopped in the middle of the intersection and blocking it completely at court street and 3^rd place! The light is red but the suspects decide to push on and attempt to crash through the bus! The suspect’s car hits the bus and the suspect’s car instantly bursts into flames! The bus catches fire too and  the suspect’s car is nearly half way through the bus as it sits and burns! By the time Sonny and Eddie are able to stop and get out, the suspects have perished. Sonny screeches to a halt and Eddie and Sonny jump out of their car. Sonny slaps his hands over his forehead and then runs his open palms over his face in utter disappointment!  Luckily the suspects put their cases with the drugs in them and a few guns, into their trunk. The fire department was able to put the fire out fast enough to save the trunk. One of the fireman opens the trunk and the “evidence” is untouched and unscathed.

Sonny: WELL! Would you LOOK at that Eddie! The ONLY thing to make it out without a scratch is the evidence! Maybe the suspects should have ridden in the trunk instead!

Eddie: Yea……if they did, they would still be alive, but WHO would have been driving the car though?????

Sonny: I am getting TOO old for this!!! NOW I have to fill out ALL kinds of paperwork, reports, and I have to hear Guzman chew our asses off! Got any Duct Tape? Ya know…to put our asses back on with after Guzman chews them off?

Eddie: Speak of the devil…….

Jack Guzman’s car pulls up to the scene and Jack gets out and as Jack comes over to Sonny and Eddie, he surveys the scene.

Jack Guzman: SONNY! SONNY! SONNY! How…in HELL did this happen????? I get this call about an hour ago that there is a car chase and then I get the report that a car has hit a CITy bus….a CITY bus! YOU two are JUST LUICKY that  the bus was going to the service yard and there were no people on it except for the driver! The driver is shaken up from what I’m told!

Sonny: (facing Jack) I KNOW! I KNOW! It’s bad! Look on the bright side Jack……We were able to save the evidence!

Eddie: Yea…if it weren’t for them putting it into their trunk…we’d be SOL right now!

Sonny: Don’t make this any worse for us as it is already Eddie……Jack…..We have bigger fish to fry! We still have to go after the Columbian Cartel leader!

Jack: NO you don’t! They are expecting you! They KNOW you are coming!

Sonny: EX…ACTLY! We can USE that!

Jack: Wait! What? NOOOO! UH…UH! NO WAY!!! I am NOT approving what I THINK you are thinking about doing! NOPE!

Sonny: OH! COME ON Jack! We did this back in Columbia YEARS ago…don’t ya remember????

It worked…THEN…why not NOW?

Jack: NO…WAY JOSE! NOT on MY watch you’re not!  WE almost DIED if you don’t recall!

Sonny: It will be DIFFERENT! New millennium, new era, Hell, NEW police forces!

These Cartel Members ARE expecting us! What they AREN’T expecting….WE…can use against them! It ALL falls back to all that YING and Yang stuff….Eddie…are you ready to go get our car back and then go take down the Columbian cartel leader????

Eddie: Ready as I’ll EVER be….it’s ALRIGHT with YOU Jack……

Jack: AH…What the HELL! GO! GO before I change my mind!

Sonny: See? Now THAT’S the spirit! Come on Eddie…..Let’s go…..

Eddie and Sonny walk back to the car they drove to the scene and get into it. Sonny backs it up, turns to the left, then puts the car into drive and takes off to the hotel that Tony is staying at for the length of the weekend party. As Sonny drives towards the hotel, Sonny calls Tony to let him know that he is coming and if the cartel members following him, are still parked outside, watching.

Sonny: (Dialing cellphone, and waiting for Tony to pick up)  HEY, Tony, Sonny,

Tony Figueroa: Hello? Hey Sonny…..how goes it?

Sonny: busy as hell! Eddie and I are on our way. By ANY chance are those cartel members still parked outside?

Tony: UM, I don’t know, let me check….

Tony goes outside and looks towards where he last saw the cartel members

Tony: Yep! They are STILL here! Want me to give them one of my famous…parting…gifts????

Sonny: NO, Eddie and I have a surprise of our own……Be there in a few…talk to ya later….

Sonny ends the call and puts the cell phone back in his pocket.

Sonny: (to Eddie) So, what do you think we should…DO to….give the cartel members one of our nice….surprise gifts? I was thinking….a little more than a banana in their tailpipe…..what do ya say we run the Sonny blue plate special…huh?

Eddie: Are you SURE? You think they will fall for it? I mean…it HAS been a LONG TIME since you pulled that one…..

Sonny: I know, I know…BOY! Time flies when you aren’t paying attention! I think they are getting a little tired of sitting there and waiting….you know how hungry YOU get when we do surveillance cases…..you bring that cooler full of all those healthy foods and snacks…..and I am satisfied with a simple bag of peanuts or what-have-you…..SO, blue plate special it is!

(camera pans out from the rear as Sonny and Eddie drive away and towards the hotel that Tony is at.)

As Sonny drives to the hotel, he comes from the opposite side of the hotel, the unseen back side and parks. Both Sonny and Eddie get out and walk into the rear entrance that leads down several halls and into the main lobby. Sonny and Eddie are being careful not to be seen entering the hotel as they make their way to Tony’s room. Once in the room, Sonny opens the door and sees Tony laying on the bed with four swimsuit models. Tony suddenly brushes all of them aside as he gets up to his feet to greet both Sonny and Eddie.

Tony: HEY guys!

Sonny: SHHHHH! Remember?

Tony: Oh yea…hush…ok

Sonny: Does this hotel have room service?

Tony: UM…yes…it does actually…why?

Eddie: We want to send our friends out there, the “blue plate special” if you know what I mean…..

Tony: Oh…sure…go right ahead…by all means….go for it! It’s going to be narly huh?

Eddie: Narly…yea…sure!

Tony goes to the hotel phone and picks up the receiver, then he dials the number for room service.

While Tony is dialing and waiting for an answer, Eddie writes down what he wants Tony to order for the Columbians parked outside on a list then hands it to Tony.

Tony: (On the phone as the room service attendant answers) Hello?

Room Service: Room service, how many I help you tonight?

Tony: Hi, this is Tony from Room (Number of room) yes…I would like to order, two bowls of soup, two sandwiches, a bottle of wine, two glasses, two pieces of Triple chocolate cake, and two cups of coffee. Then, could you bring like…twenty bananas too?

Room service: Sure thing Mr. Figueroa  It will be about 45 minutes or less…OK?

Tony: Great. Thanks.

Tony Hangs up.

Tony: Well, they said it was going to be 45 minutes or less.

Sonny: Great…that will give us plenty of time to get ready and make all of the proper…arrangements…Eddie? We need to get you a waiter’s uniform…..care to…go down to the kitchen and “borrow” one?

Eddie: Sure….it will be MY pleasure!

As Eddie leaves the room to go get a uniform, Sonny devises his strategy and coordinates with the police officers that are on their patrol routes to make sure that they are parked within a few blocks and within sight range of where the Columbian cartel members are parked, so that they can rush right in after things begin to happen, to arrest them.

Then Sonny learns that the Russians are also sitting outside in another car not far away.

Sonny then calls in to “The police units” to tell them to add another patrol car nearby then he talks to Eddie when he gets back into the room.

While Eddie gets suited up and ready, Sonny gets his Bananas ready and some toilet tissue wads moistened to get ready to shove into the tailpipes to stop both the Russians and the Columbians from following far once Eddie and Sonny drive by so that both the Russians and the Columbians can see them.

Once Eddie comes back into the hotel room, dressed like a waiter from the hotel, he gets his silver platter ready to carry out to the Columbian’s car as Sonny goes outside with his tailpipe clogging ”kits” ready for both the Russians and the Columbians. Sonny sneaks out to the other side of the street through traffic unseen by the Russians then he stuffs the first tailpipe clogging “kit” into the first car then he sneaks back unseen. Then he sneaks out behind the Columbian’s car once Eddie has gone out to the passenger side to give them their “Fake Order”  of food and drink which they take greedily. As Eddie distracts the Columbians, Sonny has already used the last tailpipe clogging “kit”  and has already snuck back into the hotel room unseen.

Once Eddie goes back inside the hotel with the silver platter empty, he puts the platter down on a tray holder in the hallway then enters the hotel room quietly.

Sonny: WELL! I think we sufficiently disabled our…friends out there…..now for phase two!

Eddie: OH GOODIE! I…CAN’T wait!

As Eddie and Sonny get ready and dressed into what they had on before, Tony walks outside to greet a couple of swimsuit models as they walk outside with both arms around both as they walk.

Once Eddie is done changing, both Sonny and Eddie go to their car and get in, back up and drive down the alley and out to the main street in front of the Hotel. Sonny turns the Stingray corvette convertible right and then heads past the Russians and then the Columbians to tease and taunt them into trying to follow them. Both the Russian’s car and the Columbian’s car start then the Russians get going first and as the Russians pull up to the Columbian’s car, the Columbian’s crash into the Russians! This causes the cops to rush in and once the cops rush in, they discover the illegal guns they have in their cars. That causes them to be arrested. The Russians get out and the Columbians stay inside their cars as they both exchange unpleasantries between them in their own languages.

Now, As Sonny and Eddie drive away, looking back and laughing, Sonny high-fives Eddie and then turns left and heads to the  Neighborhood that is ready and waiting for both Sonny and Eddie to show up to bust the Columbian Cartel leader and his drug dealers. Sonny and Eddie both park their corvette nearby and then get into the two Alpha Romeo convertibles that Sam did a great job cloning, and the two then head the rest of the way to the neighborhood where the Columbians are expecting them. Sonny arrives first and parks the car nearest to the corner behind one of the cars that Sam rigged to explode if he needed it to, then got out and headed towards the door, already knowing that all of his backup is in place and on standby if anything goes awry. The Swat teams that were at the docks have met Sonny and Eddie there and are posed at the staging area nearby.

Eddie arrives next and parks his car on the opposite corner behind another rigged car and gets out. He meets up with Sonny and they both go to the staging area.

Sonny: Now as discussed earlier, we ALL know our positions and what we are going to do? GOOD! Let me to a check in first then Eddie and I will lead the bust…OK? Are we clear on this?

The members of the swat team: Yes sir Very clear. (In unison)

Then as Sonny and Eddie look back at the targeted door step, they see (Keanu Reeves and Steve Zahn as visiting Police Detectives) walking up to the door about to knock.

Sonny: (To Eddie) What are THESE two clowns doing? Who are they????

Eddie: I…don’t know man, but don’t they know….that the place might be rigged to explode? They don’t even have any teams or backup! 

Sonny: EXACTLY! Everyone hold! Hey Akron, get a couple of your people to go extract those two before they blow our whole operation will ya?

Johnson: SURE! Akron, and Perez, go do that extraction…..and be subtle about it….

Both Akron and  Perez both sneak over to the stoop and pull the two unknown people off the step and away from the building, then over to the staging area to safety. Once the two unknown men are brought over to the staging area, the two produce their badges and start to explain why they were there.

Sonny: SHHH! Everyone…I WANNA hear THIS!

Detective Luis: (Keanu Reeves) guys! Guys! My partner and I are here to bust the leader of this cartel that killed my wife man! Take it easy! We were supposed to check in with a……(Pulling out a paper that had orders on them with the names of the Captain they were supposed to check in with)

…Captain Johnson, but he wasn’t there and when we asked around to find out where he was, everyone said that he was out on a case. That led us to that doorway of the cartel and now….here we are!

Sonny: What! You thought that you could….just…walk right up and knock on the door?

Eddie: Like they would have answered the door and offered you cake or something!

Detective Moreno: ( Steve Zahn ) It wasn’t like that….MAN! We were just hoping that we could walk up and act like we wanted to score and then…we would take the samples to the Captain! Then the captain would let us in on the case! It appeared as if he was….avoiding us!

Sonny: BAD MOVE….DUDE! BAD…MOVE! Take them over to one of our cars and put them both in there until this is all over…OK? GEES! The NERVE of those two!

Eddie: they didn’t know what…they were going to be IN for! It wasn’t like the cartel wouldn’t make them as cops! They can smell cops a mile away! Especially those two!

Detective Moreno: HEY! Let GO of me! You are going to regret this!

Detective Luis: You are going to hear from your Superior about this! Unhand ME!

Both Detective Luis and Moreno are put into the back of a patrol car until things all blow over while Sonny, Eddie and the Swat teams get ready to march into the Drug Cartel’s house and possibly bust the leader.

Once the swat teams are fully ready, both Sonny and Eddie creep quietly into action, with Sonny and Eddie in the lead. Sonny makes his way across the street with Eddie in tow and the swat teams running the rear. Sonny and Eddie both stand to the side as the entry swat team knocks the door open then Sonny and Eddie move quickly with their guns drawn pointing them around each and every corner, shouting “Clear” as they go. Finding no one around, but all of the lights were on and the TV was still on, Sonny Checked the Kitchen and reached over to feel the coffee maker and the stove top. The Coffee Maker was still hot and the stove was still a little warm.

Sonny: (to Eddie) hey EDDIE! I think we JUST missed him! He was JUST here!

Then Sonny and Eddie hear sounds on the roof. Both Sonny and Eddie look around the place for roof Access. Then they run back out to the hallway and find a doorway that is slightly ajar. Both of them run towards the door with their guns drawn. Eddie being backup for Sonny, Sonny flicks the door open suddenly and points his gun around. Then the two proceed up the first flight of stairs then around to eh second before coming to the exit door to the roof. Once Sonny Pushes the door open wide, Sonny does a duck in and duck out move to get a bearing on where their suspect is.

The suspect is running along the rooftop about to jump over to the next building as he starts to shoot at both Sonny and Eddie who return fire at the suspect who gets away over the next roof top because Sonny and Eddie don’t want to jump over to the other roof top.

Sonny: (Stopping short at the edge of the roof top) DAMNED IT! DAMNED IT! SHOOT! ANOTHER suspect….GONE! WELL…we have all of the evidence now…..forensics will have a field day!

Sonny starts to go back into the roof access doorway and gets fired upon!

Sonny: What…the….. (Nearly misses being winged by a sniper bullet)

Sonny looks in the direction of the sound and sees no one! KNOWING that there is a sniper there somewhere…..

He calls on his cell phone to get some eyes on the situation.

Then Sonny uses his push-to-talk phone to call the swat team sniper to find the other sniper and their perch. Once the swat team sniper gets up there and searches the area, he finds the sniper perched on another building. The sniper starts packing up and then starts running along the other roof top avoiding the swat team’s sniper fire, making it to the roof access door on the other roof. Then Sonny and the swat teams begin their chase. They all run down the stairs of the roof access stairway, then down the hallway then back outside where the sniper is just running down the steps of the stoop in front as Sonny, Eddie and the swat teams begin to spread out in a grid pattern to cut off the escaping suspect.  As the suspect runs to their vehicle, throws their gun into the backseat and gets in, Sonny and Eddie are running towards the suspect’s car hoping to be able to stop the suspect’s escape! Sonny stands in the middle of the street as the suspect’s car heads towards him at a break-neck speed. Sonny is pointing his gun at the suspect’s windshield and then fires three rounds into the windshield! The suspect ducks and Sonny’s bullets miss but put holes in the windshield as Sonny dives out of the way towards the sidewalk.

Sonny lands on his back between two parked cars and then Eddie comes over to help Sonny up to his feet.

Eddie: (Helping Sonny to his feet) Are YOU alright man?

Sonny: I am getting TOO old for this!

Sonny then takes his push-to-talk phone out and calls for the first car to explode!

The explosion rocks the area and nearly takes the fleeing suspect’s car out but the suspect is able to evade the shrapnel and continue fleeing! Then Eddie pulls HIS push-to-talk phone out and calls to have the second explosion go off! THIS explosion rocks the area like the first one….but this time it causes the suspect’s car to crash into one of the cars that Sam had put there for Sonny and Eddie.

Sonny and Eddie run over to the suspect’s car which has little fires burning all over it from pieces of the exploded cars on it and the driver’s door is open and no one is in it!

Sonny: MAN! What does a guy have to do catch a BREAK huh?????

Eddie: Ah…MAN! This is NOT good man!

Sonny: I think we are going to have to regroup and rethink our strategies! So far, everything has been a BIG waste of time! We…STILL have no suspects in custody! We are about to get…the ASS chewing of our careers and….we are NO closer to catching the suspect than we started!

JUST….MY…LUCK! Plan…BLOWN! DAMNED IT! DAMNED IT!

Sonny then starts to walk back to his car alone then gets in, starts the car and drives off without Eddie. Sonny drives off to have some alone time and to regroup.

About three hours later, Eddie drives to Sonny’s Wife’s grave plot and sees Sunny squatting at her grave site, removing leaves and weeds. Eddie sits in his Alpha Romeo convertible and watches from a distance.

Sonny: (Speaking to his dead wife’s grave) I wish you could see me now. MAN! I miss you, I miss you like the deserts miss the rain! It hasn’t been easy here! I am on this case…and everything keeps going wrong and I don’t know why! I mean…I plan it all out and even try to have contingency plans but even THEY go awry! Give me…SOME kind of…sign that things will start ….coming together! (Sonny waits for a sign and a leaf falls down and lands on her grave. Sonny watches as the leaf flutters down and lands. Sonny then goes over to the leaf and grabs it by the stem and starts to twirl it.)  Then Sonny sees Eddie walking towards him and he stands up.

Sonny: She ALWAYS knew what to say….when things weren’t going the way I wanted them to….She ALWAYS knew how to set me straight!

Eddie: (Putting his left  open hand on Sonny’s shoulder to comfort Sonny) I know man…I know…I know you miss her. I miss her too!

Sonny: WHY did she have to be taken from us so early???? I mean…I need her!

Eddie: It was her…path….it was her time….none of us know when that time is up…all we can do is make the best of each day until that time is up!

Sonny: (Wiping a tear from his eye from inside his glasses)  Thanks man! I needed that! (Reaches over and hugs Eddie tightly! ) Thanks for always having my back man!

Eddie: (Stepping back after hug is over) Isn’t that what friends and Partners are for???

Sonny: I am DAMNED lucky to have you man! I don’t know what or where I’d be without a partner like you!

Eddie: Same here man! It’s like…you’re in my HEAD man!

Sonny: HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Remember? Chemistry…..

Eddie: Yea…I like that! Feeling better now?

Sonny: MUCH better! I THINK…I have a new plan too! Let’s go get Caitlin Hook for this next plan! I KNOW this is going to work!

Eddie: I sure HOPE so, we are almost out of options at this point! (Eddie opens the passenger side door to the stingray and gets in shutting the door)

Sonny: Don’t you worry bubba! We got this! (Sonny opens his door, gets in and shuts the door. Then he starts the car and puts it in drive, then takes off)

Sonny Drives the convertible corvette Sting ray confidently through the heavy traffic of the New York city streets until he pulls up to Caitlin’s house. He stops and shuits the engine off and both Eddie and Sonny get out.

Sonny: I will just be a few minutes.

Eddie: Whatever man…..I will just be right here.

Sonny walks up the front walkway to Caitlin’s door and rings the doorbell. After a few minutes, Caitlin opens the door.

Sonny: HIII sweetie, how has work been?

Caitlin: Busy as hell! I tried to call you but you didn’t pick up. It went straight to voicemail.

Sonny: Oh…yea…I know…..I have my other phone on right now….while…I’m on this case….say…..may I come in? I have a few things I want to….talk to you about.

Caitlin opens the door to let Sonny in and then shuts the door. About 15 minutes later, Caitlin and Sonny both come out and Caitlin shuts and locks the front door.

Sonny: I REALLY appreciate you doing this for us…..it will be a BIG help! Here is the guy’s number. Give him a call and set up a date with him like you are responding to his ad on the…um dating site there…..then just…go meet him at the restaurant he chooses…..Once you have been there for at least 20 minutes, we will make OUR move and come in to greet you. WE will be on your six the entire way….OK? NOTHING to worry about!

Caitlin: You aren’t the one that has to deal with his grubby paws all over me!

Sonny: yea…We will try NOT to let that happen! TRUST me!

Caitlin: I DO …trust you honey…..I love you Sonny!

Then Sonny and Caitlin Kiss each other on the lips and then Caitlin gets into her convertible car and then Sunny gets into the corvette and then Sonny waits for Caitlin to get ahead of them before taking off and following Caitlin to her fake date.

Caitlin gets the suspect that Sonny and Eddie had chased on the roof tops to come meet her at this high end restaurant for a date and they both sit down at a table near the window. Sonny and Eddie are sitting in their corvette stingray watching the table as Caitlin and the suspect are talking and ordering. The food comes and the conversation is getting good. Caitlin confidently keeps up her charade without showing so much as a bit of fear. Then the suspect leans in to try to get a kiss from Caitlin and that makes Sonny uneasy.

Sonny: WELL, I think it’s time to crash this little party……come on Eddie…

Eddie: Right behind ya! 

Both Eddie and Sonny walk into the high end restaurant and take their badges out as they walk in and approach the table that Caitlin and their suspect is sitting at.

Sonny: Well hello there…remember us?

Eddie: The two guys you….shot at on that…roof top?

Sonny: Stand up! You’re under arrest! Do Not pass go and do NOT collect $200 dollars!

That was VERY good work honey! VERY well executed! Bubba? You just fell for the OLDEST trick in the book! A honey trap!

As Eddie cuffs and Marandizes the suspect that is now in handcuffs, and then leads him out of the restaurant, Sonny kisses Caitlin’s left hand and then leans in to smooch Caitlin.

Once the police officers take their prisoner away, Eddie comes back and meets back up with Sonny.

Eddie: Where to now?

Sonny: WELL, we STILL have to go bust that shipment of vehicles at dock ten….

Eddie: OH! YEA! RIIIGHT! Almost forgot about that one man! Go for it!

Sonny: I LOVE it when a plan comes together!

Sonny and Eddie get back into the shiny, black Corvette stingray and drive off to coordinate with the swat teams again on the shipment of Vehicles that may have drugs in them.

As night falls, both Sonny and Eddie are briefing the teams on that night's bust. Sonny, is short two men. He remembers Detective Louis, and Detective Moreno. He then finishes this briefing, and goes with Eddie to the hotel where Moreno and Louis were left. Sonny pulls the shinny black Corvette StingRay Convertible into a parking space almost right in front of the room that Louis and Moreno are in. Sonny shuts the car off and both Eddie and Sonny get out and go to knock on the door.
